Installation Services – Silver

Video Transcript:

Hey everyone. I’m Taylor Andrews, and welcome to the SonicAire Customer Service Series.

These videos are here to support customers who have already purchased a SonicAire fan system.

We’ll walk through installation and commissioning expectations so you know exactly what happens next and how to prepare.

You chose SonicAire because you want a safer, cleaner facility—without the constant headache of manual dust cleaning.

And when you selected our Silver Installation Support Service, you chose an option that gives your installation team expert guidance before the system is commissioned.

If your team is handling the installation but you’d like the confidence of having a SonicAire expert onsite to answer questions and help avoid common mistakes, Silver is designed for you.

This video will walk you through the Silver process step by step so you know exactly what to expect.

WHY SILVER INSTALLATION EXISTS

At SonicAire, we’ve helped thousands of facilities protect their people and stay compliant with combustible dust standards.

We also know that many customers have trusted maintenance teams or installation contractors who are fully capable of installing the system—but may not have experience installing a SonicAire fan system.

That’s where Silver Installation Service comes in.

Rather than waiting until commissioning to identify problems, a certified SonicAire technician visits your facility during the installation process to provide guidance, answer questions, and help your installers follow SonicAire’s recommended installation practices. This service includes the same field commissioning and operator training provided with Bronze.

WHAT SILVER INSTALLATION INCLUDES

With Silver Installation Service, SonicAire will:

• Provide on-site installation support for your installation team
• Answer questions and provide guidance throughout the installation
• Help identify potential issues before they become costly problems
• Perform field commissioning once installation is complete
• Train your team on proper system operation
• Activate your extended warranty coverage

Think of Silver as having a SonicAire expert working alongside your installation team—not to perform the installation, but to help ensure it’s done correctly the first time.

STEP 1: PREPARE FOR INSTALLATION

Before installation begins, make sure your team has:

• The engineered Full Coverage Layout
• The appropriate mounting hardware and equipment
• Access to the installation areas
• Electrical planning completed according to the engineered layout

Having everything ready before our technician arrives allows everyone to make the most of the visit.

STEP 2: ON-SITE INSTALLATION SUPPORT

As your installation gets underway, a certified SonicAire technician will visit your facility to work directly with your installation team.

During this visit, we’ll:

• Review the engineered layout
• Verify fan locations and mounting methods
• Answer installation questions as they come up
• Share best practices based on thousands of successful installations
• Help identify potential issues before they affect commissioning

Our goal isn’t to take over the installation. Our goal is to help your team install the system correctly while avoiding delays, unnecessary rework, and return visits.

STEP 3: COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION

After your installation team completes the mechanical and electrical installation, they’ll let SonicAire know the system is ready for commissioning.

In many cases, our installation support visit happens before your installation is fully complete. Since most installations take longer than the one to three days our technician is onsite, SonicAire will typically return after your team finishes the installation to perform the final commissioning and startup.

One important reminder: **Do not turn on the fan system until SonicAire has completed field commissioning.** Starting the system before commissioning can affect system performance and may impact your extended warranty coverage.

Because our technician has already worked alongside your installers, most questions and installation concerns have already been addressed. That helps make the commissioning process faster and more efficient.

STEP 4: COMMISSIONING AND TRAINING

Once installation is complete, SonicAire will perform field commissioning.

During commissioning, we’ll:

• Verify the installation meets SonicAire standards
• Confirm fan settings and controls
• Perform safe test runs
• Train your team on system operation and maintenance

Once commissioning is complete, your extended warranty will be activated, and your system will be ready for normal operation.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

A few important things help ensure a successful Silver installation:

• Your installation team is responsible for performing the mechanical and electrical installation.
• Have the engineered layout available during installation.
• Make sure installation areas are accessible when our technician is onsite.
• Encourage your installers to ask questions while we’re there. That’s exactly what this service is for.
• Do not energize or operate the fan system until SonicAire has completed commissioning.

The more communication we have during installation, the smoother the commissioning process will be.

THE BENEFITS OF SILVER INSTALLATION

When you choose Silver Installation Service, you get the best of both worlds.

• Fewer delays during commissioning
• Greater confidence your system is installed correctly
• Hands-on guidance for your installation team
• Extended warranty coverage after commissioning

Most importantly, you gain peace of mind knowing your installation has been supported by the people who know SonicAire systems best.
